Patriotism Camp Organized On Women Empowerment
As part of Oasis Leadership Education program, Patriotism Camp was organized during 17th April to 21st April 2013, at Oasis Valleys. 50 students from various cities of Gujarat took part in the camp. The theme of the camp was Women Empowerment. At the end of the 5 day camp, on 21st April, the participants took out a rally in Vadodara city.
The rally was taken out on 21st April from Mahatma Gandhi Nagargruh to Railway Station in Vadodara city. With street plays at four different places, slogans and playcards, students tried to create awareness about the condition of Indian Women in our society.
Celebration of International Women’s Day on 8th March
Oasis, Bangalore had planned to carry out a candle light procession on March 7, 2008, on eve of International Women's Day in the slum area. This was followed by formation of a human chain to reinforce Oasis's commitment to women empowerment.
Oasis Women Development Circle, Surat had also organized mass awareness rally on 8th March.
To celebrate INTERNATIONAL Women’s Day in its true sense, Oasis had published a booklet comprising the struggles of women of our times from all over the world, entitled 'Nari-jivanni Bhet'. For more details check the publication basket.
Life Camps & Dream India Camps
Especially for Girls
Special Dream India Camp was organized for the girls of Shabari Chhatralay, Kaparada, Dist. Valsad and Higher Secondary Girls’ Hostel, Bilpudi, Dharampur, Dist. Valsad. 48 Girls participated in the camp which was organized during 9-16 June at Oasis Valleys.
The main facilitator of the camp was Hiral Patel, Oasis and Mayuri Gohil helped her as Co-facilitator. They were guided by Dr. Pallavi Raulji, Trustee OASIS. 4 Teachers, 6 Guest Teachers & a Volunteer participated in the camp with girls. 4 Young Volunteers from ASHA, Oasis Bangalore, participated as Trainees in the camp.
