Oasis Dream India Camp
Oasis Dream India Camps, launched in 2011, were originally inspired by principles of Freedom and Happiness of Summerhill School, London. However, the camps were also designed to facilitate the blooming of teenagers along with incorporation of other principles like - respect for potentials of children, enjoying & affirming them, self-reliance and overall independence. Children's Parliament and Star Assembly are two major daily segments to implement these principles. In addition to them, constant learning sessions and duties keep the energies of students channelised from 6 a.m. in the morning to lights off time at night…
It is amazing to witness how a diverse group of children, seemingly low on self-confidence and self-esteem, is transformed towards being responsible and soulful members of community, just in over a week.
Oasis Dream India Camps, also known as Oasis Friendship Camps, these programs showcase how children can bloom so beautifully in a span of just 7-10 days. Thus it not only demonstrates what environment is required for facilitating overall development of children, it also challenges and helps educational institutions to explore potential of what such a perpetual environment can do to the growth of the children.

Every child is good without exception.
The School & Teacher/Facilitator is for child; the child is not for the teacher or school. (It is failure of school if a child doesn't want to go to school or attend classes.)
The Goal of Life and so Education is to work happily and find joy.
Learning is always a voluntary choice; one can’t force children to learn in a creative way. If we want children to attend class, it is our responsibility to make it interesting and meaningful to the child.
Education should be not just development of intellect, but development of emotional intelligence too. Also, Education is to bring out whatever is already hidden within children, and not to stuff or cram things.
Children thrive and grow the most in the environment of complete freedom. Imposed discipline and guilt makes children fearful and dishonest about their feelings.
The role of Teacher/Facilitator is to enjoy and affirm children, to create an environment of freedom and to support and fulfill children's requirements for growth.
Given freedom & opportunity, children are capable to sort out their problems on their own and that too, creatively.
A Very vital responsibility of parents is to nurture independence of a child and actually believe that child is capable of doing his/her own things.
